I’m Steve Andrews and I’m asking you to send me to the Minnesota Legislature to represent District 16B in 2008. I grew up in Osseo, MN, attended a parochial grade school and graduated from Osseo High School in 1978. After that I worked as an assistant press operator and then at a metro area hospital, first as a nursing assistant and then as a communication supervisor in the medical transportation department. As an older student I returned to school to earn a degree from St John's University, Collegeville, MN, with majors in Government and Social Science and a minor in Secondary Education. In 1998 I joined Fintegra Financial Solutions, a mid-sized broker dealer in Brooklyn Center, where I am currently employed as vice president of technology. I also co-own a retail food distributorship with my wife, who primarily runs the business. Mary and I were married in 1992 and moved to this area. We have two sons, Oliver and Clarke, who attend public school. We live in Big Lake Township. I have served on the Monticello Parks Commission and the Monticello Housing and Redevelopment Authority and other community organizations. I enjoy hanging around with my family, spending time outdoors, fly fishing, cooking, reading, and computer technology. I understand how hard work, a good education and family values create opportunity, and I look forward to participating in public policy decision making with you. Please contact me with your ideas.
